Sunday Seven

The most popular post this week was Conservative Vandalised Billboards which I followed-up yesterday with the Big Society posts (and see here). Related was the interest in the TBH’s polling results in my Cornwall’s Tories are Stuffed. Also this week, I drew attention to Conservative PPC for Camborne and Redruth George Eustice’s pitch on his Green credentials. Mr Eustice might care to use his influence as an ex-speech writer for cycling, sledging Dave, to have a word in his leader’s shell-like about how Cameron lets the plane take the strain. Oh, and I’m still waiting a reply from Mr Derek Thomas about Mr Chris Grayling’s endorsement of homophobia.

One of the most popular posts on the blog over the past seven days was If there’s a problem, it must be a EU problem which brought a spirited and reasonably witty Comment response from Mr  Guppy of UKIP St Ives. Watching UKIP’s Nigel Farage chirpily defend bonkers UKIP policies on a special Newsnight programme last week, reminded me of Mr Guppy’s style -or should it be the other way round? On Saturday, a post from blogger A Lanson Boy revealed how Cameron makes it up. Also on Saturday, the tedious Cllr Andrew Wallis treated us to another peep into who he will or will not be voting for at the general election – watch for my upcoming post on the Floating Councillor. Over the past few days, blogger mudhook has been reminding us in several posts of What has Labour ever done for Cornwall? On the other hand, Zetetist did a nice hatchet-job on Cornwall’s Tories. He writes:

Vote for ‘change’ and meaningless gibbering about people power and the big society. Get the same old agenda of corporate business.

Proper job!
